"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like.
Design is how it works."

Steve Jobs

When I studied Graphic Design at Columbia College Chicago, my professors would always waive off comments like, "I like that one" or "I don't like this one." They wanted to know if a design "worked." Does it work? Does it solve the problem?

As a human ... who happens to practice Graphic Design ... sure, it's always nice to hear that someone thinks a design looks, "awesome." Of course I want my clients to love the work I do for them. That said, I firmly believe that it is my #1 duty to try my very best to solve the design problem ... to deliver a design that works. Form and function should always go hand-in-hand.
